"About 90 onlookers, many of them neighbours, watched on in amazement as a red-brick house in original condition at 18 Rosen St, Epping, sold for $2.36 million, which came in $450,000 above the reserve
Tracy Yap from Tracy Yap Realty Epping marketed the three-bedroom home on a highset 942sq m block with a north-facing backyard that last sold in 2002 for $775,000.
“It was a shock,” Ms Yap said of the sale price. “I was thinking maybe $1.8 million to $1.9 million but even some of the neighbours said that was too much.”
